About US : The Band Caliente is celebrating it's twelfth year in existence. We continue to be one of Chicago's top local music entertainment that specialize, but not limited to latin jazz - rock, salsa, motown / dusties performed with a latin groove. Since 1996, Caliente has been a sincere, and hard working six member musical group. From that time to present caliente has accumulated a large & loyal following of over 300 plus. Caliente consists of two hard driving multi-talented guitarists, high energy percussion section of congas, & timbales, steady bumping & thumping bassist and a hard hitting drum. Caliente has performed at venues such as : The Viva Chicago Latin American Music Festivals in Grant park, Navy Pier's Beer Garden, The Hispanic Heritage Awards Celebration at The Palmer House,The Milwaukee, WI. Hispanic Heritage Celebration, Fiesta Del Sol, The Riverdale Marina. Neighborhood Festivals: St. Richards Summer Festival, St. Bede's Family Festival, St. Nick's Family Festival, St. Helen's Family Festival, Back Of The Yards Summer Festival, Justice Summer festival, Summit Family Festival, The Summit Fire Dept. 100th Year Anniversary Celebration, Chicago Night Clubs & surrounding suburbs, private parties and weddings. We continue to help out families in time of need by performing at fund-raisers for persons suffering from terminal illnesses and the families that have lost love ones. Our objective: Is to perform to the best of our abilities and to touch everyone's heart through our performance, love, and passion for music! Caliente!
